Why_cant_you_be_blue_over_me?
I’ve_included_a_couple_of_variations_on_the_A_and_Asus_chords
in_this_one._These_have_been_provided_for_convenience._The_one
you_play_should_be_dictated_by_where_you_are_on_the_neck._I
tend_to_use_both_of_the_As_–_it_just_depends_which_chord_I’ve
just_played_and_where_I_need_to_be_next._If_you_play_the_open_A
on_the_"over_me"_part,_then_you_can_play_the_leading_notes
for_the_second_part_of_that_first_verse_(E,_F#,_G#)_and_then_play
the_barre_A,_which_puts_you_in_the_right_area_of_the_neck_to_grab
the_barre_C#7._Obviously,_if_you_play_the_barre_A,_then_you’ll
also_play_the_barre_Asus._For_the_verses,_the_leading_notes_are
played_on_the_sixth_string._The_leading_notes_for_the_C#7_going
into_the_chorus_are_played_on_the_fifth_string._These_notes_are
A,_B_and_C._After_playing_the_C,_immediately_fret_and_play_the
C#7_barre.
The_key_change_in_the_outro_has_a_nice_chromatic_progression_of
A#,_A,_A#,_B_and_C._You_can_either_play_these_as_full_chords,
or_as_chord_fragments._I_prefer_to_play_them_as_chord_fragments,
since_it_gives_it_an_edgier_sound._Play_those_as:
____A#__A___A#__B___C
e|--1------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--3---2---3---4---5--------------------------------------------------|
G|--3---2---3---4---5--------------------------------------------------|
D|--3---2---3---4---5--------------------------------------------------|
A|--1------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------|
Notice_the_A#_used_here_is_different_than_the_one_diagramed_at
the_top_of_the_page._This_is_done_to_keep_your_hand_in_close
proximity_to_the_C7_and_the_F_in_the_outro._The_leading_notes
just_prior_to_the_key_change_in_the_outro_are_F,_G_and_A._Play
these_on_the_sixth_string.
Intermediate_to_advanced_players_should_have_no_problems_with
this_song_and_will_probably_figure_out_ways_to_make_it_sound
even_better._Ive_gone_back_and_made_some_changes_to_the_song
I_originally_submitted._After_listening_to_the_chorus_again,_I
realized_there_were_some_additional_chords_I_had_missed._I_have
edited_the_submission_to_include_those._I_have_also_included
the_bluesy_double-stops_in_the_outro,_just_before_the_last_A#.
